This set of cards is a great resource for any teacher who is looking for a way to promote productive talk between students during a whole class discussion. Each card includes 4 to 5 questions that a teacher can ask students during a discussion. The questions on each card are intended to promote a specific type of talk. There are a total of four cards. The Probing Questions card includes questions that are designed elicit new ideas. The Pressing Questions card includes questions that are designed to encourage students to support their ideas. The Inviting Questions card includes questions that are designed to encourage students to build off the ideas of others. The Revoicing Questions card includes questions that are designed to encourage students to restate what other have said in a new way.
